The beginning - model images, demolition and preparation of the site

The white, sandy areas in the middle of the grey FCR are the locations of the in-situ archaeology displays.  Retaining walls have been built around the archaeology sections that will be displayed and they have been temporarily filled with sand to protect them during construction.

GREEN LIGHT - The University of Tasmania, School of Medicine and Menzies Research Institute new building has been given the go ahead by the Hobart City Council.

At a full meeting of the council, Hobart's aldermen accepted the modified facade of the building, set to be built on the corner of Liverpool and Campbell Sts.
