Bachelor of Medical Research

Medical research is a rapidly growing field of scientific endeavour created on the biological underpinning of human health and disease, with a focus on providing new procedures and therapeutic agents to improve human health.

medial research and machinesThe Bachelor of Medical Research provides students with an understanding of the structure and function of healthy human cells, tissues, organs and systems, as well as of the abnormal genetic, cellular and systemic changes that characterise human disease and conditions. Students are able to select options that prepare them for careers or futher studies in fields such as onocology, epidemiology, neurosciences, pharmacology and other areas of medical research and medical science.

The Bachelor of Medical Research graduates can expect to find employment in a range of areas, including the pharmacuetical, pathology and biomedical industries, biotechnology companies, research institutes, hospitals and universities at both State and Commonwealth levels.
